This is a Turkish Dosemealti Rug made mid 1970s, painstakingly hand knotted on wool foundations with 100% pure vegetable dyed wool.
These are made in southern Turkey around Taurus mountains near Antalya and has gloriously rich reds tones and a soft finish.
One side of the rug has braided long tassels and the opposite and they are trimmed short.
Excellent condition with minimal wear for its age.
