How do you make Kilim Cushions?

We carefully select vintage kilims based on durability, weave and colours, then clean them in our workshop here in the UK. Once refreshed, the kilim rugs are cut to size, lined and finished with a 100% cotton backing for everyday comfort. Steam pressing gives flat seams and a smart finish before each product is inspected for quality.

What is a Kilim and where do you get them from?

Kilims are flat-woven wool rugs made in Turkey and across the Middle East. They are known for geometric motifs, natural dyes and their incredible resilience. Native American weavers, such as Navajo tribes, create similar flat weaves that collectors admire. Almost every kilim we use is purchased directly by me during sourcing trips in Turkey, ensuring each cover is a one-off piece with a real story behind it.
